We Sparkle

We Sparkle offers support tools for solo entrepreneurs, small business owners, and working professionals from underestimated populations selling services or their time. They aim to improve their onboarding process, and we are here to help them do so.

 Goals

  1. Improve the We Sparkle onboarding process.

  2. Encourage users to complete unfinished onboarding steps.

  3. Prioritize user and client needs over novel research findings.

  4. Offer solutions that can be executed within 4-8 sprints.

Research

 Competitive Audit

  • We begin by comparing We Sparkle with its competitors to identify features that may assist the onboarding process.

  • This exercise promotes the creation of a journey map by helping define the user's current mental model. It also serves as inspiration for future feature ideation.

 Journey Map

  • A journey map was made to empathize with the user and consider the future impact of features being ideated (e.g., progress bar).

  • Pain points were identified, which revealed the weakest links in the process (e.g., the end of the journey). Our UX proposals must strengthen these links.

  • Following stakeholder interviews and feature selection, a potential future state of the journey is added to the map.

Kano Analysis

  • The desirability of numerous proposed features is determined using a Kano analysis based on We Sparkle user surveys.

  • Not all proposed features correspond with the onboarding process; thus, we will filter out the features that do not align with our primary goal of improving onboarding.

  • The desirability of the remaining features may guide our selection of those that we will officially recommend to the client for implementation.

 Stakeholder Meetings

Meetings with the owner, graphic designer, and CTO of We Sparkle proved to be extremely fruitful. Goals were tightly defined, feedback on features being ideated was essential, and cost estimates for each feature were provided.

 Conclusions

No entrepreneur is assured success, but We Sparkle provides tools that make it much harder to do anything else. Onboarding should not be an obstacle but rather an enjoyable experience that fades into memory. With the implementation of my recommendations, we can get users focused on what matters: how We Sparkle's features will help their dreams succeed.
